Your business event, on camera, in seconds.

SightLine is an event-driven camera pipeline for business sites: your point of sale, door controller or scheduler posts a site event over a simple HTTP API, and the site's Ring camera records the visit, cuts the key frames and returns an honest verdict.

Visit timeline A timeline from a posted sale event through recording to three key frames and a verdict. VISIT · front-cooler · sale event posted clip saved door opening item leaving door closed status: "ready" sawDoorOpen: "yes" frames: 3
How it works

From event to evidence in four steps

Your system posts the event when a visit starts; SightLine drives the site's Ring camera and returns the result.

  1. Event posted

Your point of sale, door controller or scheduler sends one HTTP request: which site, what kind of event.

  2. Camera records

A live session opens on the site's Ring camera for the duration of the visit: a still every 5 seconds and a full clip.

  3. Frames cut

The key frames are selected from the stills and clip: door opening, item leaving, door closed.

  4. Verdict delivered

An honest result: what was seen, or a recording gap, an obscured view or a door that opened off camera. Never a guess.

What you get

Evidence you can act on

Honest evidence

Each visit ends with a verdict that says what the camera actually showed. When the recording has a gap, the view is obscured or the door opened off camera, the verdict reports exactly that instead of guessing.

Operator review page

Operators see every camera on the account, assign cameras to sites, and review each visit's timeline, clip, frames and verdict in one place.

Webhooks into your system

Webhooks hand the results back to the system that raised the event (signed, with scoped API keys, in the hosted product):

  • visit.stills — the 5-second stills
  • visit.clip — the full clip
  • visit.verdict — frames and verdict
The API

One request in, one webhook out

Post a site event when the visit starts. SightLine records, cuts and posts the verdict back to your endpoint.

Built on Ring

Your cameras, the official API

SightLine uses the official Ring developer API and no unofficial libraries. Customers link their own Ring account; SightLine then sees the cameras on that account and can start a live session when a site event arrives. It runs today on a fleet of Ring cameras at unattended vending sites, where every sale becomes a reviewed visit.
